RISE BY KCL presents

Leadership Labs Live

Every month, one leadership challenge. One hour to think it through with people who get it.

Middle managers spend their days supporting everyone else. Leadership Labs Live is one hour a month dedicated to supporting you.

No presentations. No role play. No being put on the spot.

Just an honest, facilitated conversation about a challenge you're navigating right now, with peers leading teams like yours across professional services.

First Wednesday of every month | 6:30 to 7:30pm UK | Live on Zoom | Free
Limited to 16 managers | Nothing recorded

16 seats. That's the whole room.

Why the Lab exists

Managers rarely lack advice.
They lack space to think.

The conversations that help leaders lead well.

You're expected to motivate your team through change. Navigate competing priorities. Support everyone's wellbeing. Deliver results. And somehow have the answers. Not to your boss. Not to your team. That's why the Lab exists, and why it meets after hours.

One focused challenge. One facilitated conversation. One practical idea you'll take back to work.

HOW IT WORKS

One challenge. One room.
One hour.

The heart of every Lab is a facilitated discussion: 16 managers from consulting, financial services, legal and accounting, one real challenge, and a conversation that goes where honest conversations go. Kai-Nneka frames the challenge with a short insight to get you thinking, then the room does what no webinar can: it thinks together.

Before we close, you'll choose one small experiment to test before the next Lab, and we'll start the next one by hearing how it went.

Nobody understands leading in professional services better than the people doing it every day. That's the Lab's only real method.

YOU LEAVE WITH

Something you can use
the next morning

Practical ideas from managers facing the same challenge, what's working, what isn't, what they're trying

A sense-check: how your approach compares with peers under similar pressure

At least one fresh perspective on the problem you walked in with

One experiment you'll test before next month's Lab

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

This isn't leadership training.
It's leadership practice.

Leadership Labs Live is where middle managers think out loud, together. Questions are welcomed. Disagreement is useful. And practical answers emerge through conversation, because the best leadership answers rarely come from one expert. They come from people working it out with one another.

What's said in the Lab stays in the Lab. We run under the Chatham House Rule, nothing is recorded, and the room is capped at 16 so it stays a conversation, not an audience.

Upcoming Labs

Real problems.
Not hypothetical ones.

One challenge per Lab. Come to one, you'll probably want to come to all of them.

QUICK QUESTIONS

Before you save your seat

Who is this for?

Middle managers in professional services, consulting, financial services, legal, accounting, leading teams and carrying the pressure that comes with the middle. If that's you, you're qualified.

Is it recorded?

No, and that's deliberate. Honest conversation needs a closed door. If you can't make one, come to the next; the Lab runs every month.

Is it really free?

Yes. No credit card, no catch. The Lab is the best possible introduction to how I work; if you ever want more, you'll know where I am. The hour itself is yours.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. The hour is the conversation. I'll mention what else I do once, briefly, near the end, and then we're back to the discussion. You have my word.

One real leadership challenge.
One hour. A room of managers figuring it out together.
